In order to block both testicular and adrenal androgens, we have administered the pure antian drogen Flutamide with an LHRH agonist (or orchiectomy) to 87 pre"iously untreated patients having clinical stage D2 (with bone metastases) disease. With the combina ti on therapy, an objective response assessed according to the criteria of res ponse of the NPCP has been observed in more . than 95 % of patients. Pain, wh�ch was pre sent in 6o % of patients, disap peared in all cases within one month,
