Ultra-fine NiO-YSZ composite powders with a high dispersion level of NiO (around 40% molar) have been prepared. Two different chemical routes were used to obtain nanostructured powders as starting materials promising to get high performance anode for SOFC applications. Material characteristics such as porosity, NiO particle distribution, grain size and particle to particle contact were investigated. Different morphologies were observed after calcination processes.
