Abstract.Sandy conglomerate is the major sedimentary systems in the upper fourth member of Shahejie formation in Shengtuo area. In this paper, on the base of core observation and description, sedimentary characteristics are studied in the upper fourth member of Shahejie formationin Shengtuo area. The results show that the prograded-type fan delta is the major sedimentary system in Shengtuo area. There are
