The authors developed a system f6r sampling the radar echo signals in high frequencies by AD conversion of the receiving signals . Using this system , we analyzed the two − dimensional distribution of radar echoes ofapoirlt target such as a small FRP boat and report the fo] lowing results . 1. The size ofthe images by the radia1 − scanning ( azimuth and distance ) becomes larger than the theoretical value as the radar sensitivity goes up . The image size by sensitivity decreases

In high sensitivity , the image by the radial − scanning is as twice 且 arge as the theoretical image determined so far , at a close distance around 1 , 000 meters . 3. The width to length ratio ofthe image size on the radar screen is almost identical to the value evaluated as the Echo paint ofthe point target. Keywords ;
