Apple, Acaricide Test, 1985

Arthropod Management Tests
Test materials were applied as dilute sprays (390-400 gal/acre) to 21-year-old 'Red Delicious' apple trees planted 35 ft by 35 ft apart. A completely randomized design was used, with 4 replications per treatment. Compounds were applied with a handgun sprayer at 400 psi on 26 Jun. Mite populations were assessed by sampling 25 leaves, collected at chest-height from the periphery of each tree; in the laboratory, mites were brushed onto glass plates coated with Tween 20.
