Starting from the ecclesiological conceptions, militancy and spirituality of the German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer , the present article seeks to share the inspiring sources for ecclesial praxis in the face of the social and political challenges that are present in the Latin American and Brazilian contexts today. Decisively, there is a prophetic-liberating dimension to be assumed by the Church today, which requires a solid theological basis and a conscious critical look at reality.
