Fatigue cracking of fillet welding joint on attachment under compressive cyclic stresses

The previous study on the fatigue behavior of the truss chord member revealed fatigue cracking in fillet weld at the bed plate, which was attached to the compression flange plate. Therefore, bending fatigue tests were carried out using box-section specimens, with various types of attachments welded to the compression flange.
