The paper deals with glacial striae, roches mountonnees and ice movement in the Faeroe Islands. On an enclosed map, striae and roches moutonnees, partly observed during other field work, are presented together with description of localities. Ice movement is discussed with reference to older works, and it is concluded that the ice reached up to altitudes of more than 700 m and extended far beyond the present coast line.
