A method for the enhancement of geometry accuracy in shapefrom-shading frameworks is presented. For the particular case of turntable scenarios, an optimization scheme is presented that minimizes silhouette deviations which correspond to shape errors. Only three unknown parameters have to be optimized leading to a robust and relatively fast framework.
