The present study is carried out for the determination of the proximate analysis, preliminary phytochemical investigation, total phenolic content and antioxidant activity by DPPH and FRAP methods. Successive soxhlet extraction was done using the solvents petroleum ether, diethyl ether, ethyl acetate, methanol and double-distilled water (DDW) in increasing order of the polarity.
