This article analyses "Dancin' Days", a telenovela broadcast in 1978 by Rede Globo, Brazil's largest television network. The process of economic, social, political and ideological change during the late 1970s, with a renewal of the material base of societies all over the world, is the general context in which the article seeks to identify the esthetic and visual implications of the technological revolution.
