Siddhamantra, the Nighantu of early 13 th century AD, written by Vaidyacharya Kesava is now a forgotten work among the lexicons of Indian Materia Medica. Kesava has adopted a reverse method of describing the drugs in this Nighantu. In Siddhamantra the drugs have been arranged according to effect on Dosas.
