Experiments IS, 19, 20 and 21 are essentially similar, since in each a blossom of the Asiatic cotton, Haasaki, is compared with American upland blossoms. The points of location of the blossoms were unchlanSed through out, but the blossoms themselves were interchlan ed in order to check any advantage which might obtain from a particular position in the arrangement. The Hacvcasak-iX blossom is smaller in size than the upland and much brighter yellow in color with conspicuous deep reddish purple petal spots inside. It was thought 668
