Biomass accumulation and carbon sequestration in Persea bombycina plantation in Assam, India
2017
International Journal of Environmental Biology
unpublished
The present study is aimed to calculate the biomass and carbon density from five different study sites of Persea bombycina plantation in Assam, using nondestructive methods. Variables like DBH and plant height are used for the purpose. Plant biomass was calculated using tree volume and wood density .The relationship between DBH and biomass showed positive correlation for all sites. The maximum biomass was recorded as 243.38 ton ha-1 with a carbon density of 121.69 ton ha-1 .and the minimum
