Biochemical evidence for a homophilic interaction of the alpha 3 beta 1 integrin
1993
Journal of Biological Chemistry
The purpose of this study was to determine if the alpha 3 beta 1 integrin could interact in a homophilic manner. Several earlier reports have shown that certain integrin adhesion receptors, namely alpha 2 beta 1, alpha 3 beta 1, and alpha 6 beta 4 localize to intercellular adhesion structures and, therefore, may participate in cell-cell interactions (Carter, W.
