Additive manufacturing (AM) is a rapidly growing technology that provides opportunity to generate complex geometries, layer-by-layer without any tool, die and fixture. AM was used just for rapid prototyping at first while it has been started to use for generating near net shaped final product in these days. However, dimensional accuracy is not at the desired level for the functional parts. Type of the AM method and process parameters have important effect on dimensional deviations of the AM

Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was used for experimental design. Laser power, scan speed, beam offset and build angle process parameters were changed in three different levels. Dimensional measurements were taken by coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Results were revealed that, process parameters had important effects on dimensional accuracy of DMLS manufactured parts.
