ON AN ALGORITHM FOR CHECKING WHETHER OR NOT A NONLINEAR DISCRETE TIME SYSTEM IS DIFFERENCE FLAT

The paper shows that difference flatness of time invariant nonlinear discrete time systems can be studied in the same way as flatness of continuous time systems. This paper gives an algebraic sufficient condition for difference flatness without a proof. Through an example of a nonlinear discrete time system, it is demonstrated that the condition provides an algorithm for checking whether or not given a discrete time system is difference flat and for computing a flat output.
