The article considers the synthesis of 2-hydroxy-5 (1-methylcycloalkyl) acetophenones as a result of the interaction of para-(1-methylcyclopentyl) - and para-(1-methylcyclohexyl) phenols with acetic acid in a Zn-containing nano-catalytic system. The effects of various parameters (temperature, reaction time) on the direction of the acylation reaction and the yield of the target products were investigated. By the interaction of para- (1-methylcyclopentyl) - and para- (1-methylcyclohexyl) phenols
more » ... yclohexyl) phenols with acetic acid in the presence of a ZnCl2 catalyst (at a reaction temperature of 130-140ºС, a duration of 30-40 minutes), 2-hydroxy-5 (1- methylcyclopentyl) - and 2-hydroxy-5 (1-methylcyclohexyl) acetophenones, yields of 58.3-67.4%, respectively.
