As a result of the study, it was determined that 5.5% of the participants had a medium and 94.5% had a high level of consciousness. Age, gender, educational status and income level variables from socioeconomic characteristics and the level of awareness about forest resources functions were examined. It was determined that there was only a significant relationship between education level and consciousness level (χ 2 =12.032, p=0.034). Also, it has been determined that there is a significant difference between gender and ways of utilization from the forest (χ 2 =27,186, p=0,000), education (χ 2 =136,150, p=0,000) and income (χ 2 =111,323, p=0,000) variables and ways of utilization from the forest, education (χ 2 =189.892, p=0,000) and income (χ 2 =137.191, p=0,000) variables and forestry organization's studies. In today's world where environmental disasters are increasing, awareness of all sections of society should be raised and in preventing these disasters the role of forest functions ought to be given importance.
