In times of globalisation, a unique corporate identity and consumer-tailored communication give enterprises a competitive edge on the world market. Thus, the present master's thesis deals with translation and terminology management as significant instruments for unambiguous technical communication and the creation of a corporate language. more » ... erview of the scientific fundamentals, the project is described in detail. While the CAT-Tool Across v6 was used for translation management, the suitable programme for terminology management had to be found in the course of the project. The account of the attempted implementation of a terminology management system at enelteco includes reports on challenging problems, performed experiments and final solutions as well as an overview of the applied methods and principles of practical terminology management. The results of the present master's thesis show how enterprises can perform corporate language management at minimal cost and how beneficial professional translation management using translation memory systems can be. It is also stressed that consistent terminology and translations have a positive effect on the corporate language and subsequently on the corporate image.
