... extent of effects of global financial crisis on financial structures of manufacturing industry enterprises traded at Borsa Istanbul (Istanbul Stock Exchange) is analyzed with the help of financial analyses method. In this context, effects of the crisis on manufacturing industry are identified by analyzing financial statements of 145 public companies in 8 sectors and 23 sub-sectors of Borsa Istanbul between the years 2005 and 2011. Automotive, iron-steel and textile industries that produce mainly for exportation are deeply affected by the crisis. The study is completed by determining micro level effects of the crisis by a case study of financial statements of a sample business in automotive industry which is rapidly and negatively affected by this process.
