This article deals with American travels (mainly to stay in Mexico and Brazil) of Czech traveler Čeněk Paclt (1813-1887). Paclt belongs to the half-forgotten travelers of the nineteenth century, although in professional circles, his name is known. Among Czech adventurers and travelers, however, he has an important position, because he holds one primacy.
