A comprehensive surgery of idiopathic scoliosis should be based on the following principles: application of third generation segmental instrumentation, obligatory preoperative planning, and multilevel outcome estimation. Segmental instrumentation has proven its numerous advantages. Preoperative planning reduces unavoidable though unwanted sequelae of the spine locking. Differentiated technique suggests four main variances: for juvenile scoliosis, for scoliosis in patients of 11–13 years old;
