This paper addresses the issue of knowledge management in healthcare. Over the last few years knowledge management has become more and more important part of the everyday work in healthcare practices. Therefore the healthcare organisations have also begun to apply knowledge management strategies, which are, in this paper, divided into two different categories: codification strategy and personalisation strategy. In codification strategy knowledge is carefully codified and stored in database,

In addition to the theory, we present a healthcare knowledge management tool, WaX, that supports the codification strategy. Through this case study we discuss possible strategies, how to organise information and build knowledge sources for the healthcare assuming there are many independent information providers willing to disseminate knowledge over the network. The following discussion summarises experience with the application of WaX and makes some general conclusions.
