Krzysztof Tatarkiewicz (1923-2011)

Krzysztof Tatarkiewicz came from a noble family originating from a nobility settlement near Bobrujsk. He was born on December 13, 1923, in Warsaw. In 1939 he obtained the "little maturity" in the Stefan Batory Gymnasium in Warsaw. During World War II he studied in clandestine study groups in this gymnasium, then he studied mathematics at the Secret University of Warsaw.
