USING RECTANGULAR FEMORAL COMPONENT IN REVISION SURGERY AFTER THA FAILURE RESULTING FROM ASEPTIC LOOSENING

The authors analyzed the treatment outcomes in 34 patients who underwent femoral revision surgery with cementless rectangular femoral components. In all cases the indication for the surgery was THA failure resulting from aseptic loosening. Average follow-up time was 23,8 months. There were no cases of aseptic loosening after the revision surgery. The treatment results were evaluated as excellent or good in (85%) 29 patients.
