... tabolism Research Center. The "Time Horizon Questionnaire" and "self-care Inventory" were used. The data was analyzed by estimating correlation coefficient, multivariate regression and analysis of variance. Results: The results show an increase in self-care behaviors when patients more attention to future and planning for the future. (r=.67, r=.60, sig=0). There was a negative and significant correlation between perceived value of the present time and loyalty to self-care behaviors (r=-.43, sig=0). Findings also indicate that there was a positive relationship between age and loyalty to self-care behaviors. However, no correlation was observed between gender, education, duration of the disease and loyalty to self-care behaviors. Conclusion: Perceived value of the present time and future can affect type II diabetes patients' loyalty to self-care behaviors.
