Four resveratrol trimers i.e: (-)-davidiol A (1), (-)-vaticanol A (2), (+)-α-viniferin (3) and (-)-ampelopsin E (4). Resveratrol trimer (1), (2), (3) and (4) were isolated from acetone extracts of the tree bark of Shorea rugosa Heim and Shorea brunnescens Ashton (Dipterocapaceae). The structures of the isolates were established based on spectroscopic evidences, UV, IR, 1 H NMR, and by comparison with those reported data.
