This paper presents the analysis of electrical energy loss in rural distribution feeders. Month wise cumulative percentage energy loss, power factor, length of line and line capacity were taken into consideration for analysis. Data of some sample feeders was presented. Critical observations were summarized. Suggestions were given for further improvement of efficiency of the system and reduction of losses based on simulation studies carried out.
