Performance analysis of DCA-schemes in highway cellular radio systems
IEEE 43rd Vehicular Technology Conference
In the paper, the performance of Dynamic Channel Assignment (DCA)-schemes are evaluated. As performance measure the assignment failure rate is used, defined as the relative number of calls not assigned a channel at some instant in time. We derive a lower bound on the assignment failure rate as a function of the call traffic load in 1-dimensional cellular systems. The lower bound is compared with the performance of a centralized interference adaptive channel assignment scheme. Simulation results
