Allergie rhinitis is clinically defined as a symptomatic disorder oi the nose induced by an IgE-mediated inflammation after allergen exposure of the membranes lining the nose. The disease ls clinically characterised by nasal itching, sneezing, watery rhinerrhoea and nagal obstruction. Additional symptoms such as headache, impaired smell and conjunctival symptoms can be associated. Perennial allergic rhinitis is most frequently caused by indoer aliergen$ such as house dust mltes, meulds, insects {cockroaches) and animal dander. Seasonal allergic rhinitis is related to a wide var[ety of outdoor allergens $uch as poHens or moulds.
