T h i s b e l t o f sediments i s t h e h o s t f o r c o p p e r -i r o n d e p o s i t s i n t h e l r o n Creek area. I n t h e map area, t h e sediments a r e i n t e r l a y e r e d w i t h greenstone. Three m i n o r copper occurrences were found d u r i n g t h e mapping, and s t r e a m sediments d e r i v e d f r o m a p y r i t i c p h y l l i t e u n i t a r e m o d e r a t e l y t o s t r o n g l y anomalous i n copper c o n t e n t .
