more » ... he wages ruling in the district, like ordinary laborers. But in addition to their wages he has since 1877 distributed among all the workmen who have been in his service for five years an annnal bonus proportionate to his own profits, which has amounted on the average to 12 and in one instance reached 17 per cent of the wages earned by them during the year.
