Patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma who fail platinum-containing chemotherapy (treatment fails) have a poor prognosis and limited treatment options. Recent approvals of immune-checkpoint inhibitors confirmed the value of immunomodulatory therapy in urothelial carcinoma.
