Abstract The study aimed to find out the importance of the application of total quality management ( TQM) in improving performance in the Palestinian universities (Al Quds Open University / Hebron Branch, and Bethlehem University) from the prespective of the faculty members, useing descriptive analytical method., The study population consisted of all faculty members at Al-Quds Open University / Hebron Branch, and Bethlehem University, in the academic year /2015/ 2014. Sampel consested from( 252) members. To achieve the goal of the study questionnaire was developed in accordance with the educational literature, & its validity and reliability has been established.The study showed that the importance of the application of (TQM) in improving performance at the study sampel was" high" with a mean (4.40) & standard deviation (0.43). Also found no statistically significant differences due to the variable university, sex, specialty, years of experience, and qualification. In light of the results, the study recommended a number of recommendations.
