The X-ray Imaging Polarimetry Explorer (XIPE) is a mission proposed to ESA Small Mission Call 2012. Its main objective is to open the polarimetric window also in the X-rays with a set of two imaging focal plane polarimeters sensitive in the 2-10 keV energy range. Additional instruments are dedicated to solar flares polarimetry and Sun spectrophotometry.
