Abstract˖High velocity compaction(HVC) and warm compaction(WC) are both new powder metallurgy technologies. HVC densifies powder by high speed hammering, has advantages of low cost, short flow process and high density. WC heats the powder and model to some extent helps enhance the powder compact property. Warm high velocity compaction(WHVC) is a technology which merges both HVC and WC advantages, introducing the powder and mold heating into HVC procedure, hopefully further increase the compact

The feasibility of mechanical energy stored type HVC is testified. WHVC forming Laws specifically the compact velocity, powder temperature and hammer weight affection on green density is studied. Practices prove that the mechanical energy stored type HVC machine can fulfill the HVC procedure. Max green density of WHVC compacts can reach 7.84 g/cm 3 , relative density reaches 99.7%, which is close to full density. The research reveals that the compact velocity plays the most important role on affecting green density in WHVC, after that is the powder temperature and hammer weight.
