The purpose of this paper is to present the development and application of the Objective Structured Practical Examination (OSPE) in evaluating physiotherapy students' practical performance. This is discussed in terms of station allocation, the circuit of tests and the method of evaluating these tasks. The effects on teaching and examining practical skills are analysed.
