In a 50-year-old housewife anterior nasal atresia was diagnosed and treated with surgical enlargement of the stenosis with a skin flap transplantation technique under local anesthesia. She was able to breathe comfortably through the nose after the operation. Rhinomanometry, which is an objective evaluation of nasal patency, showed obvious reduction of nasal resistance to airflow after the surgical repair.
