The article introduces modern approaches to catalyze energy efficiency efforts in Russia and Krasnodar region in particular – clean energy cluster concept and low-emission and climate-resilient development strategies (green LECRDS). The potential of Krasnodar region for developing clean energy and low-carbon sustainable development strategies were analyzed briefly.
