This paper discussed merits of novel modified perturb and observe (P&O) maximum power point tracker (MPPT) algorithm for stand-alone solar PV system using interleaved LUO converter with fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The merits of FLC based system are compared with existing system. Analytical expressions of the proposed converter are derived through signal flow graph. It also experimentally verified with a typical 40 W solar PV panel. The result confirms the superiority of the proposed system with fuzzy controller.
