The challenges that society has to face require the analysis of whether or not dance and choreography can still develop a linear relationship and thus, the need to defi ne new concepts and methodologies. This article examines how the choreographic act is separated from the historical context of dance, insisting on the perspective in which it is generated by the creative activity of arranging the conditions for something to happen.
