Impact of Employee Engagement on an Employee's Intention to Stay at Rayoner Hospitality

In the past, management of human resources have seen to be a crucial problem in several companies in the hotel industry. Managers have realized that in order to be competitive and to survive in the industry, they have to keep employees constantly interested and motivated. Thus, the role of employee engagement has seen to be very important in order to retain employees and work effectively towards achieving organizational goals. more » ... eir jobs itself as well as their co-workers. An employee's level of engagement is related to his intention to stay in a company. The present study explores the relationship between employee's engagement (independent variable) and an employee's intention to stay (dependent variable) and the impact between the two variables. Data collection was done from 108 employees at Rayoner Hospitality in Bahrain. The tests used to examine the relationship between the two variables were Cronbach's alpha correlation, regression and SPSS was used to determine the results. It was found that there is a strong direct relationship between employee engagement and an employee's intention to stay in an organization.
