The data used in this study provides individual-level information about the population's participation in social organizations and its willingness to trust members of their community. Argentina's participation rate is close to 20%. The country's trust rate depends on the question used to measure interpersonal trust. The more reasonable estimate puts the percentage of the population that trusts non-family members at 33%. The determinants of the probability of participation are age, household
