ABSIRACT The present paper gives an account of five taxa of powdery mildews collected in theiranamorphs.Ofthese,twotaxabelongtotheirformgenus Oidiumandthreeareassigned to their teleomorphs, Leveillula and Sphoerotheco. Of the se, Oidiumsesomi Sreenivasulu er o/. is a later homonym of oidium sesami(Paul& Kapoor) Hosag. ef o/. since the former taxon has got distinctly lobed appressoria in contrast to entire one. Hence, a new name has been proposed to it.
