In the quark-flavor mixing scheme, η and η' are linear combinations of flavor states η_q=(uu̅+dd̅)/√(2) and η_s=ss̅ with the masses of m_qq and m_ss, respectively. Phenomenologically, m_ss is strictly fixed to be around 0.69, which is close to √(2m^2_K-m^2_π) by the approximate flavor symmetry, while m_qq is found to be 0.18± 0.08 GeV. For a large allowed value of m_qq, we show that the BRs for B→η^(') X decays with X=(ℓ^-ν̅_ℓ, ℓ^+ℓ^-) are enhanced.
