Present study investigates antimicrobial, antioxidant activity and phytochemical profiling of alcoholic extracts of whole fruit of Actinidia deliciosa (kiwi fruit). Cold and hot extracts of whole Actinidia deliciosa fruit prepared in methanol and ethanol and their different concentrations were tested against common nosocomial infections and human pathogens of skin, gestrointestinal tract and upper respiratory tract. Extracts were evaluated for their phytochemical constituents and antioxidant

Cold ethanolic extract was also found to be effective against Candida albicans at a concentration of 38.33 mg/ml. Antioxidant activity was examined by DPPH radical scavenging assay, highest antioxidant activity was displayed by cold methanolic extract. The qualitative phytochemical analysis of the extracts revealed the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, cardiac glycosides, tannins and terpenoids in whole fruit of Actinidia deliciosa.
