Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) bacterium has contaminated over 80% of the population of developing countries. H. pylori has a major role in developing gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, chronic gastritis, as well as gastric adenocarcinoma and mucosaassociated lymphoid tissue lymphoma (MALT).
