The synthetic, tension-free midurethral sling procedure using transobturator tape (TOT) was introduced in 2001. Since then, it has become a mainstream modality in patients with stress urinary incontinence. But, it has been reported to produce many complications such as mesh erosion, hematoma formation, and abscess.
