Microparticles are one of the delivery systems which protect drugs from the harsh environments and also can stabilize drugs or eliminate discrepancies. ... ords. Data of publications that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were extracted manually. Most publications presented on burn wound treatment used microparticles containing synthetic drugs and natural oils. The review also pointed at a wide variety of topical product dosage forms related to formulations that range in consistency from liquid to semi-solid preparations, but the most popular product is the semisolid preparations. The use of natural oils in topical microparticles using natural or synthetic polymers provides more advantages and is recommended for drug or cosmetic development specifically in wound care.
